SAXUTEC and Vietnamese partners signed a declaration of intent on future cooperation
During the last months SAXUTEC together with the Institute for Waste Management and Contaminated Sites Treatment at TU Dresden realized a project called “German-Vietnamese Workshop: Scientific and Technical Cooperation fot the Development and Implementation of Adapted Waste Management Technologies” funded by the Internationales Buero of BMBF. Together with Vietnamese partners, the Saigon University, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry as well as the municipal waste disposal company of Ho Chi Minh City CITENCO three workshops were organized. The first workshop was organized as a conference with more than 200 participants a Saigon University in October last year. In December 2010 SAXUTEC welcomed a delegation of 10 Vietnamese experts in Saxony. In the frame of this second workshop the Vietnamese colleagues were informed about the Saxon way to treat and dispose waste environment-friendly. The final workshop took place in Ho Chi Minh City in March 2011. The aim of this workshop was to agree upon project ideas accrued during the workshop cycle and which are supposed to be further developed in the future. The project predominantly deal with waste management matters but also with other environmental problems. The Vietnamese partners have a strong interest in the implementation of these projects and the proposals are supported by the peoples committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
The signing ceremony during a reception by the German Consul General, Mr. Conrad Cappell, on March 30th, 2010 in the presence of Saxony’s Prime Minister Stanislaw Tillich formally terminated the work of the partners in this project.

 

SAXUTEC showcased at TerraTec 2011

SAXUTEC was represented with its own stand at TerraTec 2011 in Leipzig. On all three days interested visitors had the opportunity to gather information about the activities of the association. In addition to representatives of German companies of the environmental sector, numerous international fairgoers, among others from Mongolia, France, India and Hungary, were guests of the SAXUTEC. On Tuesday State Minister Frank Kupfer has visited the stand and has been informed about the current work of the association.
